Everest Global Staff
Enjoy finding out more about our staff at Everest Global below:
Jonathan Everest, Managing Director
Hi, I'm Jonny and welcome to Everest Global Logistics and Everest CFS. I have been involved in International Freight and Logistics since May 1991 with various locally owned companies and then set up Everest Global with my wife Nikki in December 2002. This move was very daunting at the time but with hard work and a great team of people we are very proud of the company that we have today.
My interests outside of work are my kids Emily and Charlotte - nothing like children to keep you grounded and to remind you what the most important things in life are. My favourite activity is fly fishing and any opportunity I have I will be stalking the spring creeks of South Westland. This is also a favourite part of the world for both Nikki and I as we got married there and spend as much time possible exploring this beautiful and rugged part of New Zealand. It has now got even better to be able to share this place with our children.
Thanks for taking the time to look at our website and company profiles. We are very proud of our company and the high calibre of staff that work here and I'm sure you will enjoy working in partnership with us.

Nikki Everest, General Manager
Nikki has been working in the transport and freight forwarding industries for over 20 years. During this time she has dabbled in all aspects of import and export sea freight so is the general "dogs body" in the office for completing the tasks that no one else wants to do. Outside of work Nikki enjoys spending time in the outdoors and especially on the West Coast where she whitebaits and goes fishing with Jonny and the girls. When she's not in the office she's running around after Emily and Charlotte, taking them to swimming, music and dance classes. She is looking forward to getting back into golf and snowboarding once the girls get a little bigger.
Nikki is also a committee member of WISH (Women in Shipping) and Everest Global Logistics are proud to be a major sponsor for the WISH events including the ladies golf tournament, wine trail and cocktail party.

Simon Wilson, Sales Manager
Simon joined Everest Global at the beginning of 2010 after 9 years in sales in the Liner Shipping industry. Given Everest are a dedicated wholesaler it was a comfortable fit as he had existing relationships with many of Everest Globals fantastic customers. He very much enjoys the building of new relationships and maintaining them through regular direct contact, particularly as the freight industry has many interesting characters!
In his spare time Simon loves spending time with his wife and 2 children and socialising with friends. He is a sports fanatic and especially enjoys rugby, touch and lawn bowls!

Phil Black, Operations Manager
Phil has a wealth of freight forwarding knowledge with over 11 years experience in the industry. With this experience Phil can answer most Import or export questions you might have. Beginning his time in the industry with a locally owned retail forwarder he learnt all facets of the business. He has also worked for a multi national forwarder which included an 18 month stint in Chicago, USA. After jumping the fence to work for a wholesale freight forwarder he is thoroughly enjoying the challenges of the FAK programmes Everest Global Logistics offer.
Outside of work he likes to spend time with his young and growing family. A keen outdoors person there is always something happening in the Black household - whether it be out on the bike with Oscar and Archie, fishing, white baiting or tramping depending on the time of the year and what kind of leave pass he can get from his wife.

Aimee Crosbie, Import Operations
Aimee started fresh in the industry in January 2013. As a newbie to the industry she has picked up the skill set very quickly. Aimee processes all of our incoming FAK containers.
Outside of work she likes to spend her time socialsing with friends. She also enjoys teaching Ballet to juniors aged 3 -8 years old which is very keen as classes are on a Saturday morning!
Rebecca Paterson, Export Operations
Rebecca started with Everest in December 2014 coming to us after playing in the retail side of freight forwarding industry. She now enjoys the challenges of trying to maximise our FAK containers.
When she isn't at work, Rebecca manages one of the Waihora Rugby sides and is a keen sport follower. Rebecca is regularly in attendance at Crusader games and the All Blacks whenever they are in New Zealand.
